Flight operations between India-UK resume partially after suspension amid new Covid strain scare

The flight operations between India and the UK partially resumed on Friday, after a suspension amid fears of new Covid-19 strain.

Over 250 passengers from the UK have landed in Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport from London's Heathrow Airport via an Air India flight.

Over 40 countries had put travel restrictions to and from the UK, owing to the new coronavirus strain reported in Britain in December 2020. The UK government had said that the new coronavirus strain is 70 per cent more transmittable.
