Gupteshwar Pandey denies rumours of contesting elections after retirement

Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey, who has triggered speculation of him contesting elections with his announcement of voluntary retirement, has denied the rumours and said his retirement has no links with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

“When did I say I would contest elections,” asked DGP Gupteshwar Pandey, denying the speculation of him retiring from the DGP’s post to contest upcoming elections in Bihar. Pandey had taken voluntary retirement in 2009 as well, in his bid to contest the Lok Sabha elections.
