Commuters swim in Gurugram canal after heavy rain submerges their car

Gurugram is resembling an ocean after heavy rains and waterlogging inundated the Millennium City and left people wading through pools of water to commute anywhere.

Incessant rains lashed Gurugram on Wednesday, submerging low-lying areas in waist-deep water and bringing traffic on key roads to a grinding halt.

Video after video posted on social media showed how continuous rain brought the city to its knees with major roads completely submerged under water.
