Hathras SDM denies allegations of misconduct with victim's family

Hathras Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Prem Prakash Meena on Saturday denied all the allegations by the 19-year-old victim's family members who had accused the Uttar Pradesh Police of thrashing and threatening them. "These allegations are absolutely false and baseless," the top official said.

On the question of why did the body the victim was burnt in the dead of night, the official said that the district magistrate has already presented a "fact-based" report on the same.
