In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Sonam Wangchuk's wife Gitanjali said that his arrest is illegal because he is in no way a threat to national security.
Gitanjali said, "His detention is illegal because he is in no way a threat to national security. He is a person who has worked very closely with the Indian Army. He has worked at the grassroots level for innovation."
She refuted allegations that he incited violence or has a "Pakistan link," calling them baseless propaganda. Angmo alleges a targeted "witch-hunt" that began years ago after Wangchuk advocated for Sixth Schedule status for Ladakh. She claims this includes CBI probes, IT summons, and the blocking of their FCRA licence.
