Humans, wildlife severely affected as floods batter Kaziranga National Park

As flood waters continue to rise inside the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, residents of nearby villages complain of worsening daily lives and fatalities to their livestock.

Many villagers say, they do not have sufficient food to eat and have received no relief material from the government. Speaking to news agency PTI, a local sad, "We have not received any relief material yet. They have not visited the place yet so who will give us relief? No one from the administration has come here to review the flood conditions. People are in trouble and disturbed due to various issues."

According to officials of the Kaziranga National Park, 77 animals have died and 94 others have been rescued so far from the park.

The Brahmaputra river along with many of its tributaries continued to flow above the danger mark on Saturday.
