The Supreme Court cancelled a Gujarat government's order that allowed the release of 11 men in the Bilkis Bano rape case.
In its judgment, the Supreme Court ruled that the Gujarat government was "not competent enough" to pass such an order and termed the move a "fraud act". It also ordered the convicts to surrender in two weeks and return to jail.
