IAF chief BS Dhanoa on why India used MiG-21 during dogfight with Pakistan

Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa on Monday (March 4) cleared the air on last week's developments about why India used the 'dated' fighter jet to combat the 'ultra-modern' F-16.

"MiG 21 is in our inventory, why will we not use it? The MiG-21 Bison is not the old MiG-21bis. [It] has got better weapons system, better air-to-air missiles. We fight with all the aircraft in our inventory," Dhanoa said.
