If Nehru was so great, why not use his surname: PM Modi's dig at Gandhis

In a blistering attack on the Gandhis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked if Nehru was such a great person, then why the family shies away from using 'Nehru' surname. 

Addressing Rajya Sabha, PM Modi said, "I had read in newspapers that at least 600 schemes were named after Gandhi-Nehru. I fail to comprehend why his (Jawahar Lal Nehru) descendants fear using his last name. If he was such a renowned person, then what's the shame?" 

PM Modi was replying to the Motion of Thanks to the President's address to the joint session of Parliament ahead of the Union Budget.
