Iltija Mufti mourns Hezbollah chief's death; compares Kashmir to Gaza, Lebanon

Iltija Mufti, daughter of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, made a controversial remark by comparing the situation in Kashmir to that of Gaza and Lebanon. She also expressed her sadness at the death of Hassan Nasrallah and praised the Hezbollah chief.

Earlier, protests erupted in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday as people condemned the killing of Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike by Israel in Beirut, Lebanon. 

Mehbooba Mufti, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, halted her Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) Assembly election campaign on Sunday to protest the execution of Hezbollah head Hassan Nasrallah. She stated that her party supports people in Lebanon and Gaza.
