Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind condemns killings of Atiq Ahmed, his brother Ashraf

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, the top Muslim religious and intellectual body, has condemned the killing of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf, calling it a cold-blooded murder and a shameful act under police protection.

President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani termed the killing "brutal" and said what happened is "shameful" for the country and humanity. “If there is no rule of law in this country, anarchy will prevail everywhere,” he pointed out.
