Video: Omar Abdullah takes to the slopes, enjoys skiing in Gulmarg

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah recently enjoyed skiing on the snow-covered mountain slopes of Gulmarg. He was also seen riding a snowmobile. CM Abdullah said he was visiting the resort town to review the maintenance of a recently inaugurated ski lift. Speaking to the media, he expressed happiness over the ongoing snowfall in the Kashmir valley. 

The chief minister said, "Firstly, snowfall gives a boost to tourism. The tourists who were waiting for snowfall have now begun arriving here. Secondly, we would have faced a dire shortage of water had the area not received this snowfall."
