Jayalalitha's Legacy War: Sasikala, AIADMK gear up for gala celebration

The stage is set for major political war over Jayalalitha's legacy. On her 73rd birth anniversary, all groups are expected to claim the legacy of Amma.

With elections just two months away, both the AIADMK and Sasikala camp are trying to stake claim to the legacy of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha, fondly called as, Amma.

Gala celebrations have been planned by both the camps to mark Jayalalitha's birthday.

While AIADMK will be holding a public meeting and its cadre have been asked to light lamps in their residences at 6 pm to remember their beloved Amma, it is yet to be seen if Jayalalitha's close aide Sasikala will do a political event marking the celebration of the AIADMK leader’s birthday.

However, Sasikala's party AMMK and her nephew TTV Dhinakaran have grand plans for her birthday.
