Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath will face fresh inquiry in his alleged involvement in the 1984 riots against Sikh in the aftermath of Indira Gandhi assassination in New Delhi. A special investigation team, set up by the Union Home Ministry, has decided to reopen seven anti-Sikh riot cases, where the accused were either acquitted or the trial closed, according to official notification. The reopened cases include a case against the Madhya Pradesh CM. The SIT is likely to consider fresh evidence against the veteran Congress leader.
