Speculation is intensifying over a cabinet reshuffle in Karnataka as the Congress government approaches its two-and-a-half-year mark. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah met with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi to discuss the potential changes, a meeting which remained inconclusive. The final decision now rests with the party's high command, including Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal, with the Chief Minister stating he will abide by their directive. Amid ministerial aspirations from many legislators, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, 'all 142 Congress MLAs deserve a cabinet seat'. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has deflected questions on the matter, while the opposition BJP has taken the opportunity to mock the Congress government over the internal deliberations and potential sidelining of Shivakumar.
