Kerala govt taking measures like shutting down schools, 100% screening at airports: Official on coronavirus

The Kerala government has taken up extensive measures like shutting down schools and screening at the airports across the state to handle the coronavirus outbreak in India, an official told India Today TV. Kerala has till now reported 17 cases, including the three patients who were discharged last month following recovery.

"We have set up extensive measures including shutting down schools to contain the spreading of coronavirus. We have also advised people to avoid travelling to some of the countries. we have also ensured 100 per cent screening at the airports in Kerala," Dr Amar Fettle, Nodal officer, Public Health Emergency in Kerala, said in an exclusive interview to India Today TV.
