Lakhimpur Kheri violence case: UP govt to submit status report to Supreme Court

The Uttar Pradesh government will submit a detailed report to the Supreme Court on Friday in the Lakhimpur Kheri investigation case. Police have slapped a notice at the house of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Misra, summoning his son Ashish Misra over the accusations against him in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. Ashish Misra was summoned to the crime branch on Friday at 10 am.

The Supreme Court had asked the Uttar Pradesh government to file a detailed status report in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case by Friday. Eight people, including four farmers, died in the violence that erupted in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday.
