RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav was on Tuesday convicted in the Rs 139.35 crore Doranda treasury case, the fifth fodder scam case, by a special CBI court in Ranchi.
Reacting to the conviction, former Bihar deputy chief minister and BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said Lalu Yadav is no longer relevant in the politics of Bihar and he is happy that those who looted the state are now being punished.
"We are the ones who brought this matter to light. We approached Patna High Court, demanding a CBI inquiry. I am happy that those who looted Bihar are being punished. Lalu Yadav is no longer relevant in the politics of Bihar," he was quoted as saying by ANI.
