LPG vessel Jag Vasant arrives at Gujarat's Kandla port amid West Asia war

Despite the ongoing war in West Asia and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz energy corridor, LPG vessel Jag Vasant, carrying 42,000 metric tons of LPG, docked at Gujarat's Kandla port on Friday. Another vessel, Pine Gas, carrying over 45,000 metric tons of LPG, is scheduled to arrive later today. In recent days, several other tankers have reached Indian shores: Apollo Ocean with 17,000 metric tons arrived on March 26, while Shivalik and Nanda Devi jointly brought over 92,000 metric tons to Mundra and Wadinar ports on March 16 and 17 respectively. The continuous arrival of these LPG carriers provides significant relief for India's energy needs despite the geopolitical tensions affecting the critical Hormuz shipping route.
