Mid-sea rescue: Indian Coast Guard rescues 11 of sunken ship in Port Blair

Bravehearts in the Indian Coast Guard pulled off a daring feat in the mid-sea rescue. An Indian Coast Guard ship and aircraft rescued 11 sailors from sinking ship at high seas of Andaman islands.

After being tipped-off about the ship disaster an Indian Coast Guard Dornier Aircraft was launched immediately and Coast Guard ship Raj Kamal was deployed from Port Blair.

A sea-to-air coordinated search operation was launched and the aircraft located the survivors in a life raft waiting for assistance. The cargo ship MV ITT Panther reportedly sunk due to loss of stability resulting from flooding.
