The mystery surrounding 24-year-old trekker Babita Pandey, who vanished during the Dayara trek in Uttarkashi, has deepened as she remains untraceable after five days. Babita disappeared from the Goi base camp area on May 29. A massive search operation is currently underway, involving a 150-member rescue team comprising the Army, ITBP, SDRF, police, and forest department personnel, along with a dog squad. The investigation has intensified with the detention of her two co-trekkers, Harmanpreet and Harmanpal. Authorities are probing all angles, including the suspicious involvement of the duo, potential wild animal attacks, or a criminal incident. Recently accessed CCTV footage shows Babita loading her luggage into a car before the trek. The search efforts have now shifted focus to a mystery lake located near her last known campsite. A six-member special team equipped with modern equipment is conducting a deep lake search to find any clues regarding the missing trekker.
