Mohammed Salim slams TMC, BJP over Jai Shri Ram row

Senior CPI(M) leader Mohammed Salim slammed Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party over Jai Shri Ram controversy.

The BJP had accused TMC chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of being anti-Hindu and intolerant towards the chant 'Jai Shri Ram', a chant the BJP says is dear to the Hindus.

Mamata Banerjee wrote a detailed Facebook post explaining her stand on 'Jai Shri Ram', saying she does not have any problem with its social and religious connotations. She however accused BJP of politicising it and said she would not accept it.
