NCERT book row: Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expresses regret

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has expressed regret over NCERT book row and said it was 'very sad on what happened' and clarified there was 'no intention to insult the judiciary'. This after the Supreme Court banned the controversial NCERT Class 8 Social Science chapter on "judicial corruption" and issued contempt notices. 

he Chief Justice of India had taken exception to the paragraph and issued clear directions to revise it. Notices were sent to the central government and the head of NCERT. The controversy centres around content describing judicial issues that was deemed objectionable by the apex court.
