NIA questions 2 Congress MLAs in connection with Bengaluru riots

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has questioned two Congress MLAs in connection with the Bengaluru riots. The NIA has questioned Zameer Ahmed Khan and Rizwan Arshad and their statements have also been recorded.

According to officials, they were asked to explain their presence in the riots area on August 11.

Violent clashes had broken out on August 11, following an alleged derogatory post by a relative of Congress MLA Murthy. The mob had vandalised several vehicles and burnt down several houses including that of the MLA. Two police stations in East Bengaluru were also vandalized.
