The Tamil Nadu government's move to reopen the state-owned liquor shops has met with criticism by the opposition parties, who have accused Chief Minister MK Stalin of double standards. The Opposition parties in Tamil Nadu have criticised Chief Minister MK Stalin for reopening state-owned TASMAC liquor shops in 27 districts, including the state capital Chennai, and called him out for protesting against a similar move last year when his party DMK was in the opposition.
