A month after the foundation stones for Kartarpur corridor was laid on both sides of the border, Pakistan has taken the first step towards operationalisation of the Kartarpur corridor. The government in Islamabad has prepared the draft proposal to be submitted to India for her consideration before the two sides meet to discuss modalities of the functioning of this corridor.
India Today has accessed the 14-point draft proposal which has laid out details of how the corridor should function.
The prepared proposal states that the main "objective" of the corridor is to facilitate visa free travel for Indian pilgrims to Kartarpur. And for it to be operational both parties (India and Pakistan) should establish infrastructure in their respective territories.
