Parliament to debate Women's quota Bill, Canadian opposition demands more information on terrorist Nijjar

The Lok Sabha will have a seven-hour window to discuss the Women's Reservation Bill beginning at 11 am today. The bill proposes 33 per cent representation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. After the debate, the bill is likely to be passed in the House later today. The bill, named Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. In other news, the Canadian opposition parties have demanded more information from Trudeau on his allegations connecting Indian government agents with the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
