Following a deadly blast in Delhi linked to a terror module involving doctors, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting. Immediately after returning from a state visit to Bhutan, the Prime Minister visited the injured at Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital and then met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to review the investigation. Reporting on the government's response, India Today's Aishwarya Paliwal stated, 'The decision will be taken very fast. The decision will be taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The central government is preparing for it. It will be swift and it will be decisive'. Nationwide raids are underway as multiple states have been put on high alert.
