PM Modi hoists national flag at Red Fort on 79th Independence Day

After receiving a ceremonial guard of honour, the Prime Minister hoisted the Tricolour to the strains of the national anthem, while flower petals rained down from helicopters overhead. The occasion was graced by Union ministers, foreign dignitaries, armed forces personnel, and special guests, with schoolchildren adding vibrancy through patriotic songs and dances.
