PM Modi to inaugurate iconic Chenab rail bridge, world's highest, in Jammu on June 6

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said in a post on X that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the Chenab Bridge on June 6, calling it "history in the making". Singh highlighted that Chenab Bridge is the world's highest railway bridge and stands tall in Jammu and Kashmir.

PM Modi is also likely to flag off two specially designed Vande Bharat trains connecting Srinagar with Katra in Jammu on the same day.

A previous inauguration of the Chenab Bridge for April was postponed due to weather conditions.
