PM Modi to inaugurate 3 Covid testing labs tomorrow in Mumbai, Kolkata, Noida

In an attempt to increase testing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate three novel coronavirus testing laboratories in Mumbai, Kolkata and Noida on Monday afternoon.

These testing laboratories will be set up at National Institute of Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH) in Mumbai, the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (NICED) in Kolkata and the National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research (NICPR) in Noida.

All these three testing laboratories can together test about 10,200 samples per day.

These labs can do high volumes of tests on multiple machines to increase capacity of testing as ICMR plans to test 10 lakh samples a day.
