The debate on the North-South divide has escalated after Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP Senthilkumar's controversial take on Hindi heartland states. The MP made the remarks in Parliament on Tuesday, sparking strong reactions from political circles.
The row has yet again thrown the spotlight on Telangana CM-elect Revanth Reddy's remarks on K Chandrashekar Rao. During the India Today roundtable, Reddy said KCR's "DNA is from Bihar".
"Meet Revanth Reddy, Congress’s CM elect, who thinks KCR is of inferior DNA, presumably because he is a Kurmi from Bihar, who migrated to Telangana. Nitish Kumar, a Kurmi, and part of the I.N.D.I Alliance, should ask the Congress to clarify if they think he is of inferior DNA?" BJP leader Amit Malviya tweeted on Tuesday after Senthilkumar's fresh remarks sparked a controversy.
