India Today has scooped exclusive details of what prompted 23 Congress leaders to write a letter to Sonia Gandhi demanding an organizational overhaul. Sources told India Today that a series meeting had happened in the last three to four months between the leaders who wrote the letter.

Sources further revealed that since last ten to twelve leaders under the leadership Ghulam Nabi Azad wanted to meet Sonia Gandhi but she couldn't meet them due health issues.
