Sanjiv Baliyan resigns, Cabinet reshuffle likely tomorrow

Union Minister of State for Water Resources Sanjiv Baliyan has resigned from the Narendra Modi cabinet. He became the third Union Minister to resign ahead of cabinet reshuffle which is expected to happen soon.

Earlier, Skill Development Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare tendered their resignations. The series of resignations began with a late night development when Rudy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to put in his papers.

Some reports suggest that MoS Human Resource Development Mahendra Nath Pandey has also resigned from his post. The ministers who have resigned are believed to have been asked by BJP president Amit Shah to do so.
