Shiv Sena's Uday Samant joins Eknath Shinde's rebel camp

Shiv Sena MLA Uday Samant joined the Shinde group and reached Guwahati on Sunday. Samant is the higher and technical education minister in the Uddhav Thackeray-led government.

He was seen with Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray for the meetings held during the past few days. Samant is considered to be a close aide of Aaditya Thackeray.

There was much speculation over Samant’s arrival at the hotel from Surat and his movement was being closely tracked.
