Strong tremors felt in Delhi-NCR, parts of North India

Strong tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR and in parts of North India this evening. The tremors in Delhi-NCR lasted for at least 10 seconds.

The epicenter of the earthquake was said to be near Hindu-Kush region. As per the National Institute of Seismology, the magnitude of the earthquake is said to be 6.3 on the Richter scale. However, the US geological survey reported a slightly lower reading of 6.1.
