Swiss Bank freezes four accounts of Nirav Modi, sister Purvi Modi

In a major setback for fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi, authorities in Switzerland have frozen four Swiss bank accounts belonging to him and his sister Purvi Modi, having a balance of more than Rs 281 crore.

The accounts were frozen after the Enforcement Directorate personally wrote to the bank that the money in these accounts has been siphoned off illegally and is part of a massive money laundering scam.
