Trinamool, BJP set for neck-and-neck fight in Bengal: Mood of the Nation

The Trinamool Congress will likely win 22 out of the 42 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal, according to the Mood of the Nation survey by the India Today Group.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to improve its performance in the state by winning 19 seats, according to the survey.

The Mood of the Nation poll was conducted between December 15, 2023 and January 28, 2024, and hence, doesn’t take into account the recent political developments in the last few weeks and consequent changes in alliance arithmetic.
