UP Police gets custody of Mukhtar Ansari, gangster-turned-politician being taken to Banda jail

The Uttar Pradesh Police has taken the custody of don Mukhtar Ansari. A 150-member team of the Uttar Pradesh Police is bringing gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari to Banda jail.

This comes days after the Supreme Court directed the Punjab government to hand over the custody of the don to the UP police.
