In a bid to counter the right wing and anti women entry forces in the wake of Sabarimala row, lakhs of women from across the Kerala are expected to form a 620 km state's sponsored women's wall today.
The wall was planned by Kerala's left front government to counter Sabarimala Kranti Samiti's ayyappa jyoti campaign. According to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, the Wall of Women is a "movement for equality, gender sensitivity and social awakening".
