Watch: CBI probes post-poll violence in Bengal

The CBI and SIT probe into the alleged post-poll violence will be monitored by the Calcutta High Court. It has directed the central agency to file a report on its investigation in the next six weeks.

The court’s ruling was in regards to a bunch of petitions which sought a fair and impartial probe into alleged post-poll violence in West Bengal. The court had ordered the NHRC chairman to constitute an inquiry committee to probe accusations of human rights violations during the post-poll violence.
