Days after the Minto Road Railway Bridge incident, Delhi's monsoon preparedness is once exposed. Today, just after three hours of heavy rainfall in the morning, a part of Ashoka Road in the VVIP area of Delhi caved in.
Meanwhile, waterlogging was witnessed in several other parts of the city, raising questions over monsoon preparedness of national capital.
On July 19, a house collapsed in the slum area of Anna Nagar near ITO as a portion of the road along it caved-in following heavy rains in the national capital. Two days later, on Tuesday, the carriageway from Bhairon Road leading to Mathura Road caved in.
