Watch: Red alert in Tamil Nadu

The IMD's regional meteorological centre in Chennai has predicted isolated very heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry over the next five days. Heavy downpour in several districts of the state has resulted in severe waterlogging.

Heavy rains are also likely in Madurai, Theni, Sivaganga, Kanyakumari, Puthukottai, Tenkasi and Cauvery delta districts of Tamil Nadu, besides Karaikal in Puducherry over the coming days.
