Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu is on the boil after 13 people were killed in police firing during a protest against the planned expansion of a copper smelting plant in the coastal town.

Tamil Nadu govt has appointed retired judge Aruna Jagadeesan to head the inquiry commission that will probe the violence and subsequent police firing in Tuticorin.
