Yasin Malik assaults India Today journalists: First-hand account from reporter, cameraman exposes separatist's lies

The India Today team has nailed the lies of JKLF chief Yasin Malik, who was approached for his reaction on the Hurriyat expose. The expose, named Villains of Valley, showed separatist leaders explaining how Pakistan funded the Hurriyat to stoke violence in Kashmir.

After our reporter Kamaljit Sandhu was attacked and her phone smashed by Malik, video journalist Vinod Kumar said that he was pushed aside and hit on the back of the neck by the JKLF chief.

India Today team was ushered into Malik's house by his sister in Srinagar and the reporter was waiting patiently for Malik's reaction on Hurriyat tapes. In a blatant lie, Malik claimed that the India Today crew had barged into his bedroom without his permission, while continuing to avoid reacting on the expose all along.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has extended his support to the India Today team. Jaitley has branded such separatist leaders as 'insurgents'.
