Amid rising cases of Covid-19 and Omicron variant, the Delhi government on Tuesday decided to enforce 'yellow' alert of the Graded Response Action Plan in the city. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a high-level meeting with top officials to discuss the existing Covid-19 situation in the city. "As the Covid-19 positivity rate has been above 0.5 per cent for the past few days, we are enforcing Level-I (yellow alert) of the Graded Response Action Plan. A detailed order on restrictions to be implemented will be released soon," news agency ANI quoted Arvind Kejriwal as saying after the meeting. CM Kejriwal also said that the new Covid-19 cases reported in the state are mild. There was no increase in consumption of oxygen or use of ventilators despite the rise in Covid numbers, he added.
