Vishal Bhardwaj collaborates with Shahid Kapoor a fourth time after Kaminey, Haider and Rangoon. Kapoor plays a bad-boy gangster, Triptii Dimri his intense love interest. Nana Patekar is a cop. A baroque crime thriller, the film features Gulzar’s lyrics and a stellar cast.

Something is rotten in the state of Punjab. There’s a body. And there are the cops—played by Barun Sobti and Mona Singh. But since the creator is Sudip Sharma (Udta Punjab, Paatal Lok), the murders are a smokescreen for investigating societal rot.

They are looking for romance that is pure. But will the antagonist, the head of a dating app-like company, played by S.J. Suryah, allow their true love to endure? Science fiction meets romantic schmaltz.
