Ahaan Panday is all set to reunite with filmmaker Mohit Suri after the massive success of Saiyaara, as the duo gears up for a new romantic drama backed by Yash Raj Films. The project comes on the heels of Ahaan’s widely appreciated debut, which catapulted him to fame and established him as a promising new face in Bollywood.

According to Variety India, Ahaan will headline Mohit Suri’s next romantic venture under the YRF banner.

The report shed light on the film’s development, stating that Mohit had completed writing the plot for his new film, a romcom centered on an older man and a younger woman. However, the project did not materialise with the actor initially considered.

It further mentioned that Aditya Chopra suggested making another romantic comedy with Ahaan Panday. Since Ahaan’s second film is an action project in which he plays a gangster, the producer believed that the duo returning to the romance genre would appeal strongly to audiences.

Following the phenomenal success of Saiyaara, expectations are high for Mohit Suri’s next. While several names had been speculated for the lead role, it has now been confirmed that Ahaan has been finalised for the project.

Mohit is reportedly reworking the script to fit Ahaan, with filming likely to start by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, Ahaan is currently busy shooting for an action romance directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film also stars Sharvari, Aaishvary Thackeray, Bobby Deol, and Jimmy Shergill in key roles, with Ahaan exploring the action-romance genre.
