Reports are doing round that the release of Kartik Aaryan's Naagzilla has been postponed. Backed by Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films, the film was scheduled to hit theatres on Independence Day 2026.
The release date of Naagzilla, starring Kartik Aaryan, has reportedly been pushed ahead. The fantasy comedy, which was earlier slated to arrive during the Independence Day weekend in 2026, will now hit theatres on February 12, 2027.
The update was shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Wednesday. "KARTIK AARYAN: 'NAAGZILLA' RELEASE DATE LOCKED – VALENTINE'S DAY 2027. Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films' upcoming film #Naagzilla, a creature comedy starring #KartikAaryan, is set to release on 12 Feb 2027 [#ValentineDay weekend] (sic)," read his post on X.
However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement.

About Naagzilla
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Naagzilla is a creature comedy rooted in Indian folklore. The film features Kartik as an icchadhari naag - a shapeshifting snake - named Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, marking a distinct shift in his on-screen choices.
The film is backed by producers Karan Johar and Mahaveer Jain, under the banners of Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films.
Naagzilla was initially scheduled for an August 14, 2026 release, aligning with the Independence Day holiday window. With the shift, the film will now arrive over the Valentine’s Day weekend in 2027. As per reports, the makers announced the change through a press note.
Kartik was last seen in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri (2025) alongside Ananya Panday. While the film had a modest box office run, the actor remains busy with upcoming projects, including collaborations with Anurag Basu and Kabir Khan.
