Alia Bhatt wants daughter Raha to be an athlete, not actor. Here's why
Alia Bhatt has her reasons for wishing daughter Raha Kapoor would pursue sports. She also recalled how her mother, Soni Razdan, was the most impactful influence during her growing-up years.

Actor Alia Bhatt has expressed her wish for daughter Raha Kapoor to explore sports in the future, saying she would be happy if she grows up to become an athlete. The actor also shared that even at the age of three, Raha already shows strong energy levels and a naturally active personality.
In an interview with Femina, Alia spoke about her daughter’s spirited nature.
"I wish for her to actually be an athlete. She's so competitive and she's so athletic. She's only three, but she really jumps around like a bee in a bonnet," she said.
Beyond motherhood, Alia also reflected on the people who have shaped her journey, highlighting her mother Soni Razdan as her biggest influence.
She spoke about how she grew up watching her mother juggle parenting while staying committed to her passion for acting across theatre and television.
"I think, starting with my family. My mother, the strongest, most impactful influence growing up, watching her navigate through raising me and my sister, and still keeping the fire of wanting to be an actor alive in herself, whether she did it through theatre or through television," Alia said.
Alia got married to actor Ranbir Kapoor on April 14, 2022, in an intimate wedding ceremony at their Mumbai residence. The couple welcomed their daughter Raha later that year on November 6.
On the work front, Alia is set for a packed slate of projects. She will next be seen in Alpha under Yash Raj Films’ spy universe, alongside Sharvari and Bobby Deol.
The actor will also reunite with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which is slated for release next year.
